An entrance disc is a great option for a hive entrance and is versatile with the seasons. Use the open setting for full nectar flow and then close it to make the entrance smaller to keep unwanted pests out. Use the bars setting during the winter to keep mice out of the hive. This setting also works as a queen excluder. Use the Small Holes setting as ventilation if you need to lock up your hive and transport the hive. The closed setting can be used to close the hive when needed. The entrance disc is made out of galvanized metal.
